Hahaha. Sounds like I’m not the only “pretentious” one here. And I never said it was random hate. I know it was a risk posting something like that and tagging it with Makorra. It stemmed from a joke between my best friend and myself. You can still like characters even if they make mistakes or are made to do stupid things…
And that wasn’t spam. It was one post. You’re acting like I cursed your mother out to next weekend. Relax.
Edit: also, I find it funny how you’re taking the “if you don’t have anything nice to say, then SHUT THE FUCK UP (◕‿◕✿)” approach in schooling me on decent behavior.

like I know the colors are off and bolin’s face and korra’s body are both weird cuz I couldn’t draw my way out of a paper bag labelled ‘perspective’ and augh here take it before I get the urge to burn it

Borra Thoughts
While I, like many others of my wonderful, Borra-loving kind, was taken aback by the SUDDEN MAKORRA IN MY FACE OH GOD, I was also disappointed with the lack of involvement on Bolin’s part. I’m sure his character will develop with time and we’ll get to see some hot-buns-Bolin-in-action, but until then, we’re stuck with this.
It was also disconcerting to watch the Bending Brothers’ personalities alter so quickly… as in, you’d think Bolin would be the most emotional when receiving news of Korra’s capture, but no, it was Mako who got the dramatic closeup and music, while Bolin was still in the back, peeing… and when the gang caught up with Naga, Mako was the one who pushed his way to Korra and was by her side in a flash. We get some insight as to how Asami is reacting, but there was nothing indicative of Bolin and what he might be feeling, not even a glance, and I’m curious as to why that is.
(Bolin, why you no react?!)
Which brings me to my next point: the sudden Prince Charming-esque disposition Mako’s suddenly adopted. I actually wasn’t really fazed by it, just confused. How has Mako gone from willing to end his friendship with Korra for Asami a few episodes ago to completely ignoring Asami to carry Korra and stroke her face comfortingly… and in such a short time? My theory is that Mako is still very much confused about his conflicting feelings for both girls, and his protective side takes over when he is feeling threatened or distressed, possibly having a narrow-sighted, horse blinder sort of effect that allows him to only focus on one thing (or girl) at a time. Perhaps he even feels guilty for the way he has treated Korra in the past and was worried about not being able to apologize or make it up to her.
The character dynamics and development are a little iffy, but we still have a ways to go, so I eagerly anticipate what is yet to come, especially the finale!
(and, of course, hoping Borra is canon. for those who are devastated about this ship sinking, don’t lose face! we still have a lot to see, and anything can happen!)
(the grumpy Borra shipper in me didn’t like that this episode had blatant character flip-flops and purposeful ship-sinking fuel, but I’m sure there was a good reason for it…)

Please excuse my fangirling over The Legend of Korra, more specifically, Borra. This show… has a way of awakening… dark and terrible things in me…
